Moreton Kids Festival

KidsFest has got the COVID Safe go-ahead for October 18, and it’s parents who are jumping for joy.

Mayor Peter Flannery said he was thrilled to welcome events back to Moreton Bay and promised this popular annual festival is showing no signs of slowing down in its fourth year.

“I don’t think any parent will ever take events for granted again following this pandemic,” he said.

“I can’t wait to see everyone getting active outdoors and letting some energy go, it’s going to be fun to bring that sense of vibrancy back to Pine Rivers Park.

“This year’s program is as jam-packed as years before, with the return of the five worlds of fun to cater for the whole family.

“So whether your kid is any combination of artsy, sporty, scientific, adventurous, techy or loves nature – there is something for them.

“There’ll be a program full of live stage shows, interactive workshops, rides to entertain the kids, as well as market stalls and food trucks for the parents.

“Hopefully this spells the beginning of things returning back to normality and it sparks some optimism for everyone in the community.”
