Encore! Anywhere Festival Aiming for Even Higher Notes in 2022

It was the successful debut that defied COVID in 2021 with more than 175 performers entertaining over 1,800 people in 30 venues across Moreton Bay Region.
Anywhere Festival will be back for an encore act from 14 May to 5 June in 2022.
“Moreton Bay Region fell in love with Anywhere Festival and I am thrilled to announce that it will return next year,” Mayor Peter Flannery said.
“This festival is all about seeing live performance anywhere but a traditional theatre venue.
“It goes beyond the limits of the stage to bring diverse contemporary performances into community spaces and local businesses so people can enjoy the arts close to home and in a COVID safe environment.
“Our Councillors are passionate about seeing more activations and events taking place in their local streets and suburbs, which is exactly what Anywhere Festival is about.
“In addition, Anywhere Festival has provided benefits to the community, the arts sector and our local economy in the Moreton Bay Region.
“The arts and cultural sector has felt the impacts of the pandemic, and that is why events such as Anywhere Festival are so important for the industry.
“This festival contributes to our Thriving Communities strategy, as we’re committed to supporting arts and culture, providing employment opportunities for local artists, and driving positive social and economic outcomes for the region.

Anywhere Festival founder and CEO Paul Osuch said he was thrilled about Council’s support of this initiative and looked forward to bringing a dynamic and creative program back to Moreton Bay Region in 2022.
“Anywhere Festival is all about bringing people together through live performance experiences, and it is also about encouraging businesses to engage with their community in a new way,” he said.
“Around 65% of festival goers in 2021 said they were very likely to revisit the performance location or business as a result of their Anywhere Festival experience.
“We were blown away with the response by local audiences, businesses and performers in 2021, and the appetite for live performance in Moreton Bay Region far exceeded our expectations.
