Members of community groups and sporting organisations across the region are invited to Moreton Bay Regional Council’s second Flash Forum on Saturday 30 November at Caboolture Hub.

The forum is free to attend and features 12 presentations from leading industry experts designed to help build strong, financially viable organisations.

Spokesperson for Parks, Sport and Recreation Councillor Koliana Winchester said council was excited to host the forum after the success of the first forum in June.

“Community groups and sporting organisations play a major role in building, supporting and sustaining vibrant and healthy communities in our region,” Cr Winchester said.

“Information gathered at these forums will help organisations and volunteers develop skills to help run active, successful and financially viable organisations.”

Forum topics include facility planning, financial and succession planning, governance and sourcing funding.

“I encourage all sport and recreation groups to come along and play an active part in this forum,” Cr Winchester said.

“We have over 500 community, sport and recreation organisations in our region; so it’s important as these groups continue to grow, they are equipped with helpful information so they can implement strategies to operate more effectively and efficiently,” she said.

The Moreton Bay Community, Sport and Recreation Flash Forum will be held at Caboolture Hub on Saturday 30 November.
