Bridal gown

From historical gowns to modern-day pieces, celebrate your love of fashion with three new Moreton Bay Region exhibitions continuing through to November.

The Bowerbird and the Bride

Experience the timeless beauty of bridal gowns from the 1880s to 1970s at The Bowerbird and the Bride exhibition. Featuring the collection of award-winning costume designer, Marion Boyce, each wedding ensemble is brought to life through a visual story filled with beauty, nostalgia, mischief and whimsy.

Beach Couture: A Haute Mess

Featuring life-sized wearable pieces made of trash collected from beaches and oceans, the Beach Couture: A Haute Mess exhibition makes visible, in a grotesquely amusing fashion, what is often overlooked. The works highlight a growing problem - and provoke action.

Brooching the subject

Jewellers and artists make a fashion statement in Brooching the subject. An exhibition of brooches, each designed to draw attention, these powerful accessories are designed to start conversations about topics or causes of which the artist is most passionate.
