Community refill stations
Published 26 September 2019
South-East Queensland is experiencing hot and dry weather conditions with low rainfall forecast. While the Moreton Bay Region has not been drought declared, dry conditions are affecting water supply in some communities.
Moreton Bay Regional Council is not responsible for water supply. However, council and our region’s water supplier Unitywater are encouraging residents reliant on tank water to be prepared by checking their water level and topping up their tank.
To ensure you don’t run dry, we encourage you to book a water delivery with your preferred water carrier as soon as possible.
Council is aware some residents who rely on tank water are at risk of running dry, and are experiencing delays from their water carrier due to increasing demand. To support these residents council has opened small quantity community refill stations at a number of council sites.
