Barry Kidd has been working as an artist in Redcliffe for 20 years and is a great believer in the plein-air approach as the genesis for inspiring authentic and original work. Plein-air delights reflects this passion in working in the limited time brought on by changing light and other distractions such as insects and inquisitive onlookers, forcing the artist into spontaneous mark-making, colour selection, and composition which can add life and movement to an otherwise static canvas.
