BYO apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Bring a photograph of your pets or favourite animal to work from.

All other materials are provided.

About the artist

Sam Tupou uses personal photographs from his family album as a starting point in his practice.

His artworks respond to his Tongan and Polynesian heritage, including patterns inspired by Pacific Island Tapa cloth design. He also references mathematical geometry and 80’s video game imagery.

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
