A large bird in flight

Fly into the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum these school holidays for a hands-on wildlife experience of the winged kind.

In conjunction with Moreton Bay’s region-wide exhibition, Da Vinci Machines, Pine Rivers Heritage Museum is hosting Geckoes Wildlife, our local experts in all things that fly.

Get up close and personal with a variety of native Australian flying animals and see where Da Vinci got his inspiration for his famous flying machine, the ornithopter. The design for the ornithopter was inspired by the flight of winged animals, including bats, kites and birds.

Geckoes Wildlife have a wealth of knowledge about native Australian wildlife. Be sure to come ready with any questions you have about the animals you see flying in the sky.

Free - no bookings required. All ages.

The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
