NAIDOC Week event - Lunchtime talk and tour

Sam Harrison at IDEN-DEFY exhibition

Celebrate NAIDOC Week with artist and curator Sam Harrison for a lunchtime curator talk and tour of Pine Rivers Art Gallery’s current exhibition IDEN-DEFY.

IDEN-DEFY brings together a collection of portraits by First Nation artists that engage in the discourse around individual and communal identity.

Sam Harrison is an early-career curator and artist who recently completed the Blak Curatorial Exchange program, organised by Blaklash Projects. Harrison has accessed the art collections of Moreton Bay Regional Council, University of the Sunshine Coast, Caloundra Regional Gallery and private collections to curate an exhibition, supported by Blaklash Projects. IDEN-DEFY is the result of this project.

Light refreshments will be served.
