With the easing of the South East Queensland lockdown, Council venues have reopened subject to State Government COVID restrictions.
Every region has its own stories.
During May 2021, all regional galleries in South East Queensland North (SEQN) will showcase First Nations exhibitions - to share stories across Country, celebrate culture and connect with each other.
Moreton Bay Regional Council respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Country across our region. We also acknowledge and pay our respects to the Kabi Kabi, Jinibara and Turrbal Traditional Custodians, and their Elders past, present and emerging.
Council’s three galleries - Caboolture Regional Art Gallery, Redcliffe Art Gallery and the newly opened Pine Rivers Art Gallery will all be showcasing First Nations artists and artworks throughout May as part of the Connecting Stories initiative.
Check out the online program of inspiring exhibitions and events to learn and celebrate First Nations creativity and culture. For programming across all participating galleries across SEQN, visit the Connecting Stories website.
Connecting Stories is a region-wide project developed by Creative Arts Alliance, as part of the Regional Arts Services Network (RASN) and in partnership with our SEQN Galleries Network - Gympie Regional Gallery, Noosa Regional Gallery, USC Art Gallery, Caloundra Regional Gallery, Moreton Bay Galleries, The Condensery - Somerset Regional Gallery and Redland Art Gallery.
