Galleries and museums will be closed on Thursday 25 April for the Anzac Day public holiday and will reopen on Friday 26 April from 10:00 AM.
Beyond Borders is an exhibition of powerful photographs and multimedia stories. It presents an alternative view on one of the nation’s most divisive issues.
Many Australian Photographers Group (MAPgroup) have collaborated with refugees and asylum seekers to share their experiences of seeking asylum under challenging circumstances.
Few of us have had the opportunity to know people in this harrowing position and hear their stories.
MAPgroup is an independent association of approximately 40 documentary photographers. They are recognised for telling stories rarely told by the mainstream media.
The museum is open Wednesday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and Saturday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
