SALT Exhibition

29 Sep 2020 | 09:00 AM - 04:00 PM

A group of 16 Bribie artists have represented the idea of salinity in their work in the “SALT” exhibition.

These artists have used a range of media and techniques to depict this, from painting, printmaking, resin art, acrylic pours, marine collage, pottery, silk painting, cards and jewellery.

Salt is essential for life and is present in vast quantities in the seawater that surrounds our beautiful island.

Its effects on our life are everywhere, in the salt-encrusted rings it leaves as the water evaporates, the rust it promotes and the environment and creatures it sustains.
