Wild about Wildlife Workshop: Platypus

Wild About Wildlife

Platypus are more common in our waterways than you might think. They are shy and secretive, as well as being very early risers. Learn more about where and how to spot a platypus, which makes its home in freshwater creeks and dams, often amongst a tangle of roots just above water level.

Matt Cecil, from Wildlife Preservation Qld will provide details on their habitat and some results from recent WPSQ platypus surveys. We will then also learn about sites in our area where they may be seen.
