Easing of Queensland business restrictions for coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Queensland Government has developed a plan to ease coronavirus (COVID-19) business restrictions to ensure businesses can reopen in a way that increases business activity but does not compromise the health of customers, staff and the community.

MBRC stimulus package
$5 million for grants to community groups and clubs, $1 million refund on food licensing fees for businesses and $2 million in accelerated asset maintenance work. Businesses that haven't yet done so are urged to register with Council’s supplier marketplaces through our supplier portal.

MBRC Local Preference Policy
Council has updated its Procurement Policy to proactively support Local Businesses, through ‘Local Preference’, ensuring local businesses are considered in all future procurement activities. Read the story for more information or check the policy(PDF, 225KB) for specific conditions. 

Regional Arts Development Fund: Continue Creating quick response grant
If you are an emerging or established artist, you may be eligible for a Continue Creating grant to continue your professional development, production of new work, and engagement with new audiences during COVID-19. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
