Local jobs for local people

Local jobs for Local people is an initiative to assist employers in finding suitable local employees and to increase job options for residents of the Moreton Bay region.

Focus for 2012

In 2011 the initiative featured a Major Jobs Expo and employment events.

In 2012 the focus will be on supporting local business opportunities and employment arising out of the Moreton Bay Rail Link, and attracting new business to the region linking them with supply chains of existing businesses to provide economic growth and employment.

Local Jobs for Local People is an initiative of the Moreton Bay Regional Council and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
