Funding rounds and available funding

There are two main funding rounds each year, generally closing in:

  • Mid March (for projects not starting before June) and
  • Mid September (for projects not starting before December)

Out of round RADF grants of up to $1,000 are also available to support opportunities that would otherwise be missed due to the timing of closing dates. Out of round applications must include a covering letter detailing reasons the application needs to be considered outside of the normal funding rounds. Out of round applications should be submitted as early as possible, but no later than 2 weeks prior to the event commencing.

There are no upper or lower limits on the amount of money that can be applied for and it is advisable to discuss your project budget with the RADF Liaison Officer prior to submission.

In the past a wide range of RADF projects have been awarded grants ranging from $250 to more than $15,000 however the average grant amount is typically around $4,500.
