The Moreton Bay Region is located in South-East Queensland and is one of the fastest growing regions in Queensland covering the areas of the former Caboolture and Pine Rivers Shires and Redcliffe City.
The region extends to 2011 square kilometres, with an approximate population of 343,000 which is projected to be 523,000 persons by 2031*.
The Moreton Bay Regional Council area is a growing residential area, with substantial rural, rural residential, commercial and industrial areas.
The Council area includes mountain ranges, water supply catchments, coastal wetlands, national parks, state forests, rural townships and urban centres. Rural land is used mainly for dairy farming, timber, beef cattle, mixed farming and tropical fruit growing.
The Moreton Bay region’s proximity to Brisbane and major transport infrastructure make it easy to access, a benefit that has attracted numerous new residents and businesses.
