Queensland ombudsman

The Ombudsman investigates complaints about the actions and decisions of Queensland's state and local government agencies or their staff that may be made for the following reasons:

• Improper purpose
• Irrelevant grounds
• Illegal or contrary to law
• Unreasonable
• Unjust
• Improperly discriminatory
• Based on a mistake of law or fact
• Made without giving reasons
• Wrong

It is an independent complaints investigation agency, whose role is to make sure that public agencies act fairly and make the right decisions for Queenslanders.
