Voluntary conservation agreements

The Voluntary Conservation Agreement (VCA) program provides protection and enhancement of highly significant natural, cultural and landscape assets in perpetuity within the Moreton Bay region on private lands (areas outside of council owned or controlled parks or other public reserves).

This initiative provides landholders with the opportunity and assistance to protect significant nature conservation areas in perpetuity. Registered landholders in the Land for Wildlife program can upgrade to a Voluntary Conservation Agreement to improve protection and management of significant vegetation.

Existing Land for Wildlife Members whom are interested in upgrading to the VCA Program should contact their Land for Wildlife Extension Officer.
