It is now easy for you to take an active interest in your community by submitting your favourite photos taken at events Council has presented or at community activities you have attended in the region. Simply fill out the form below.

Note:

  • Photos must be in JPEG (.jpg) format.
  • Only digital images up to 1MB in size will be accepted. We cannot accept video files.
  • While we are pleased to receive your photo, not all images submitted will be displayed. Council reserves the right not to publish the photo on our web site without any further correspondence.
  • Please ensure that you own any photos that you send us (including their usage rights). Council will not be held responsible for any breach of copyright resulting from any photos you send.
  • All submissions are subject to the terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions

All photos submitted for consideration for publication to Moreton Bay Regional Council (Council) will be subject to the terms and conditions set out below:

  1. By submitting a photo, you grant to Council a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable, unrestricted, worldwide licence to use, copy, sublicense, redistribute, adapt, transit, publish and/or broadcast, publicly perform or display such communications in any form. It is important to note, however, that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute to Council and that if your photo is accepted, Council will endeavour to publish your name alongside it on Council’s website. Council cannot guarantee that all photos will be used and reserves the right to edit your comments.
  2. You agree to submit to or share with Council only photos which are your own original work. You must not violate, plagiarise, or infringe the rights of the Council or third parties including copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights.
  3. You agree to release Council, its officers, employees and agents from any and all liabilities and obligations whatsoever in connection with or arising from any content or photos submitted by you.
  4. You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified Council, its officers, employees and agents against all claims, demands, losses and damages arising directly or indirectly that maybe incurred as a result of or in connection with a breach by you of your obligations under these terms and conditions or as a result of any Content submitted by you.
  5. Photos submitted and accepted will be displayed in the website gallery. All uploaded photos will be vetted by Council. Council reserves the right, at any time, to remove any material from the website that it deems, in its absolute discretion, to be obscene, offensive or inappropriate, or infringing upon the rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, copyright.
  6. Council, its office bearers, employees and agents do not accept any responsibility for safe keeping of any digital files submitted for consideration and any such files will not be returned.
  7. Council reserves the right to crop or otherwise edit or manipulate photos submitted.
  8. If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it will be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms will survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
  9. The failure or delay of the Council to exercise or enforce any right in these terms does not waive the Council’s right to enforce that right.
  10. These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Queensland which will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
