Activity programs
- Heart foundation walking
Council coordinates many walking groups (in conjunction with the Heart Foundation
) across the region, to motivate people to walk more often and give all residents the opportunity to get out and be active in a safe and supportive environment. For more information, see walking groups.
- Kids fun days
Kids have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports and physically activities. The program is suitable for boys / girls of all skill levels. The primary focus is on having fun, making new friends and building confidence to remain active at all times of the year. The program consists of two parts: Year 4 fun days and active kids after school fun days.
- Older & bolder
A program coordinated by Pine Rivers district for people who reside in the district and are aged 50 years and over. It gives those individuals looking to stay active and healthy an opportunity to experience and enjoy passive, adventurous and cultural activities. It is also a great way to meet new people.
- School holiday fun
Get involved these school holidays! Moreton Bay Regional Council hosts a variety of free or low cost holiday activities each holiday period including recreational, art & craft and sporting activities.
