Sport & recreation strategies
Council realises the importance of sport and recreation opportunities for its residents and has facilitated a number of comprehensive planning studies for facilities and open space to address both broad and specific issues. The strategies assist to plan infrastructure and programming and to seek external funding.
Current studies include:

Park master plans
Park and Open Space Master Plans are detailed plans that outline a future vision for a park or open space area. The plan generally includes recommendations for active and passive areas, amenities, car parks and vehicle circulation, pedestrian links, landscape works, infrastructure (including BBQ’s, playgrounds, fitness equipment) and vegetation management. The plans also identify priorities and an estimated budget for future works.
