Retaining walls
All retaining walls over 1 metre in height must have building certification.

Sheds, carports & pergolas
Garden sheds having a floor area greater than 10 square metres or having any side greater than 5 metres in length will require development approval.

Swimming pools & spas
A building application is required for residential swimming pools as defined in the Building Act 1975.
