Beach patrols
The surf beach at Woorim is patrolled year round by volunteers from the Bribie Island Surf Life Saving Club. Swim between the flags. Latest advice on swimming conditions at Woorim can be obtained from the club, phone (07) 3408 1188.
Beach permits
Permits are required for 4WD vehicles to travel on the ocean beach of Bribie Island. All permits are issued by the Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service, phone 13 13 04. Dogs are not permitted north of the 4WD access track.
Bin collections
Bins are provided to all residents within the cleansing area. The bin with the green lid is for refuse and the bin with the yellow lid is for recyclable goods. Only non-hazardous household waste produced as part of day to day running of a household are acceptable in domestic bins.
Building
Building applications are required for all new building work.

Recycled water
Recycled water is purified water produced from the treatment and disinfection of water from the reclamation plants at South Caboolture, Woodford and Bribie Island. This treatment results in a quality product, currently approved for irrigation and other non-drinking uses. Recycled water is clear and looks and smells just like drinking water.

Red-eared slider turtles
The turtle, with its distinctive red facial marking, has no known predators and may displace local widlife. The red-eared slider is an aggressive creature with the potential to multiply rapidly.
Removal dwellings & demolition
Applications are processed in two stages - the Amenity and Aesthetics application. Only on the successful completion of this part of the process can the applicant proceed to the second stage which is the building application procedure.

Development applications that are solely for, or include, retaining walls are to include plans showing full construction details.
Road safety
Unacceptable behaviour by motorists should be directed to the local police. Matters relating to road safety including signage and visibility.
